"The results of the experiments demonstrate convincingly that the company s combustion patent claims are fully justified and the fuel system as now constructed obtained remarkable pressures and results. "The inventor has always claimed the practicability of his system of the combustion of cheap fuel oil combined with tlie Injection of atomised water, but his claims have been often doubted. "Our technical and practical knowledge on the subject has been very greatly extended by the scientific experiments and research which were undertaken with this plant, as a result of which the engine, which is now being built, and which will be completed early next year, has been extended to an eight-cylinder basis. "The experiments prove beyond doubt that a unique engine of great flexibility "and power, of low weight to power ratio, and combusting low • grade fuel oil, can be confidently built on the fuel cycle as now developed. "THERE IS NOT THE SLIGHTEST DOUBT NOW OF THE FINAL FEATURES OF THE ENGINE WITH A MEAN EFFECTIVE PRESSURE OP HITHERTO UNHEARD-OF VALUE, WITH HIGH PRESSURES WHICH ARE IMPOSSIBLE OF ATTAINMENT IN ORTHODOX COMPRESSION IGNITION ENGINES, AND WHICH ARE ENTIRELY FREE FROM ANY TROUBLES ARISING FROM HIGH TEMPERATURES ACTING ON WORKING PARTS.
