DISAPPEARING TRAMS.
The iibiquitdus tramcar, a few years hence, will be A thing of the past in Paris. Its replacement by autobus is slowly but surely being effected.
Some 50 tram lines have been pended during the past seveil years by the Societe des transports en C.ommun. These lines served sections of tnfe capjtal and the outlying districts. During.the first half of* this year five lines blve been discarded for the more comfortable bus There is no doubt that with the passing of the trams traffic regulation will be simpler, particularly around the Opera and St. Lazare districts and several others where buses and trams converge.
