PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. . VERY SUCCESSFUL SEASON CLOSES: One of'the most enjoyable closing functions in'the...history,, of the minor diyisiori of the Auckland '.Football Association marked the close of 'the 1932 season, when the trophies were presented, and a highly entertaining programme , carried put. There was a record attendance, arid Mr. R. H. Horsley,: chairman: -of the committee, presided in the Unavqidable'. absence of Mr. Ernest : Davis/ president. The,-chair-man, referred to- -the activities■ of the divi-, sion during ithe season; and •■'stated that 28, competitions had ibeen conducted foi* : 21' trophies, whichj Jiadj been ,remarkably widely distributed amongst the clubs talcing part. There were approximately 1650 players under'thei jurisdiction "of the com-eyer-increaeing, number. Iμ the primary- and secondary schools the ten trophies .played' for had been won by eight different•■ schools. •■ The chairman referred to the highly satisfactory improvement in the standard of play in the lower ; grades, and complimented the various officials on the success that had attended their efforts. The trophies were then presented as follows:— Third Grade Intermediate.—Hill Shield, Belmont; Knock-out Cup, Mount Albert Old Boys. ■ Fourth Grade.—Coltman Cup, Metro-Col-lege, A; Telford Cup, Comrades; Bouskill Clip, Metro-College A., Fifth Grade.—Grade Cup, Y.M.C.A.; Ross. Memorial iCup, Belmont; O'Leary Shield, Metro-College. . Sixth Grade. —Campbell Cup,, Metro-Col-lege; Long Cup, North Shore. ' Seventh.. Grade.—-Grade Cup, .Belmont; Junior Management Cup, T.M.C.A.' A. Secondary Schools. — Senior: Beswick Shield, Auckland Grammar School; St. ■ Andrew's trophy, Takapuna Grammar School. Intermediate: H. S. W. King Cup, Mount Albert Grammar; Herbert] Smith Cup, Auckland Grammar.' Junior I Division: H. Smith Cup, Mount- Albert | Grammar; Ernest Davis Cup, Kowhai Junior; High. Primary Schools. -Robinson Shield, Devonport; Maristonian Cup, Stanley Bay School. • Junior :.H.
