FARTHING NEWSPAPERS.
In the British Museum are two leaves of different newspapers which appeared in 174.0 at. the price of one farthing each. One .is styled . the "Evening Post/' August 29. On the heading is a note stating that it was sold for a farthing. The other ie styled "All' Alive and Merry," or the "London , Daily Post," November 1. It is inscribed in M.S. to the effect that, by evading the stamp duty, it was eold for a farthing. ,
