THE OPEN DOOR.
MAINTENANCE IN MANCHUEIA. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 1. In the House of Commons the Foreign Secretary, Sir John Simon, said the British Government so far had no grounds for doubting that the open door would be effectively maintained in Manchuria, in accordance with assurances given by the Japanese Government aad the Manchurian authorities.
