AUSTRALIAN PRICE OF GOLD. The price fixed by the Commonwealth Bank for cold, Including jewellery, lodged at the Melbourne Mint, for the week ended October 21, was at the rate of approximately £6 17/11 a standard ounce (22 carats), equal to a premium of 77.10 per cent. Payment is made according to the assay value of the gold. The price is 2/2 higher on the week. The price per *unce line is £7 10/5, a rise of 2/4 on the week.
