A CORRECTION.
You state that I was chief engineer on the steamer Penguin at the time she was wrecked. I was chief engineer on her when she was running in the ferry service between Lytteltop and Wellington, but I had left her several months before the wreck. Mr. Urquhart was chief in her at the time she was wrecked, and lost his life. J. B. HUTTON.
