MEMORIAL GATES.

SOLDIER-TEACHERS. TRAINING COLLEGE ENTRANCE. Memorial gates to the memory of 6oldier-teachers who fell in the Great War have been erected at the entrance of the Training College grounds, and are to be unveiled oh November IG. An invitation to be present was extended to members of the Auckland Education Board this morning.

Wells, said that the consecration ceremony would be performed .by i his Grace, Archbishop Averill,'. and that, the gates themselves were:to-be opened by the G.0.C., New Zealand Forces,- Major-General W. L. H. Sinclair-Burgess. . Mr. D. M. Rae, the principal of the Training College,- said that the memorial had been built by the teachers in the Auckland educational district. They had thought that the entrance to the college would be the most suitable place, and that, the meaning of the gates, erected at the entrance to. the grounds, would not be lost upon young teachers. .'
