LABOURER'S ARREST.
REMANDED ON THEFT CHARGES. Arrested' by Constable Stewart, of Newton, yesterday, Charles Augustine Scandle (30), labourer, appeared in the Police Court this morning, charged with stealing a case of spoons, valued at 7/, and a safety razor, worth I/O, the property of some person unknown. ■ < On the application of the police Seandle was remanded ■ until Friday.
