AUCKLAND VITAL STATISTICS 330 FEWER BIRTHS THIS YEAR. The vital statistics for October last reveal a further marked decline in tiie number of births, deaths and marriage in the Auckland district. . , In October 215 births were registered as against 242 in October last year, in ten months the total was 2052, as comrpared with 2382 for the same period lasi lasfc month totalled 122. The total for the year to date is » and for the corresponding ten nf 11 ™*,°' last year, 1469. There was 32 couples married at the Registry Office W« month, as against 45 for the same monw last year. Deaths totalled 1002 for the first 'ten months this year, as against 103G for the corresponding ten montn of last year.
