BEHAVIOUR ON HIKING TRAINS.
May I bring up the matter of behaviour on Sunday hiking excursions! I attended the mystery Hike one Sunday and certain youths, not content with shouting at the top of their voices in the railway carriage, proceeded to have a "rough and tumble," to say nothing of the use of vulgar expressions, much to the annoyance of other passengers on the train. This continued for the best part of the homeward journey. I am not opposed to mystery hiking on Sundays, in fact I am very much in favour of it, but Rarely there must be someone in authority who could prevent this hooliganism. I am sure many more people would patronise these hikes and enjoy them if it wer.s not for this unseeming •behaviour on the part of a few. SUNDAY HIKER.
