AEROPLANE MISHAP.
FOULS ELECTRIC POWER LINE AIR CARNIVAL INCIDENT. MAN RECEIVES . SEVERE BURNS.' (By Telegraph.—Press Association.)' NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday. A Canterbury aeroplane piloted by Mr. K. Johnstone, which was taking part in the New Plymouth Aero Club's display at the Bell Block aerodrome today, fouled and broke an electric power line at the aerodrome, but landed practically undamaged. The aeroplane carried a woman passenger. i TJm incident had two startling effects. It put a loud speaker service for the &ir pageant out of action, and gave a shock to a man who was crawling under a fence on which the power line had fallen. His hands were bu - ned fairly sevevel j.
Eleven . machines participated iu unfavourable weather in a spectacular display. The most notable feature was Captain Bolt "crashing in flames after being shot down."
