LAND SETTLEMENT SCHEME. OPERATIONS IN THE WAIKATO. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Sunday. On his return from a visit to Auckland, Mr. D. V. Bryant expressed satisfaction .'ith the progress which is being made in raising the £20,000 required to\ launch the Waikato Land Settlement Society's scheme. He said that in the past few days substantial donations had been received from the South British and New Zealand Insurance Companies. Keen interest was being taken in the project by people in Auckland-, and the nucleus fund was still increasing. When the required amount was in hand the society would bo incorporated, mortgage debentures issued, and the work of land settlement launched.
