Malfroy (New Zealand) defeated Ritchie (Britain), 6—4, 6—4, 2—6, 7—5, in the final of the Dulwich covered court tournament. Malfroy and Ritchie were defeated in the doubles final by Lee and Miki, G—2, 2—6, B—6,8 —6, I—6, 6—2. Malfroy also lost the mixed final.

Each man secured one fall. A record crowd of spectators acclaimed Browning, while Lurich took his defeat badly and shaped threateningly at the referee. Browning appeared to be ready to settle the argument by force, but the intervention of officials prevented a brawl developing.
