Irish Emissary to Get Plan for Setting Up Republic. LAND CONFISCATION HINT. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, October 23. The "Sunday Pictorial" Dublin correspondent says that the Government has dispatched a special representative to Madrid to study first-hand the methods employed by the Republicans in founding a Socialist Republic. It is stated in Dublin that when the Irish Republic is created the lands granted to peers and others by the British Government in bygone years will be confiscated similarly to the lands of the Spanish grandees.
