RADIO TELEPHONY.
Short-Wave Experiments Being Carried Out. ENCOURAGING RESULTS. (British Official Wirelesß.) (Received 9.30 a.m.) RUGBY, October 23. Sir Kingsley Wood, PostmasterGeneral, addressing the Cardiff Chamber of Commerce, said experiments were being carried out with encouraging results in the Poet Officia radio department for the utilisation of very short radio waves of three to 10 metres wavelength. An attempt was being made to fit them into the telephone network. An experimental circuit utilising such waves had been set up to bridge the River Severn some time ago. This radio link was included in the circuit, the whole length of which was 300 miles, with very satisfactory results.
