ENGLISH CLUB'S OFFER. .ST. HELENS WANTS HUTT BACK. The St. Helens. Rugby League Club has cabled to Lou Hutt, the Ponsonby, New Zealand and English international footballer, .offering him re-engagement on the liberal terms which he received for just under two years up to his return to Auckland in June of last year. Hutt was asked to sail for England by the. steamer Remu'era on October 29, but as that vessel is timed to leave a week earlier, he has replied stating that it would be impos--sible for him to make arrangements for departure with, his family at such short notice and asking for further instructions. "If I can get a suitable permanent job, I will not go," said Hutt this morning. Hutt recently: represented New-Zealand twice and Auckland-against, the Englishmen. At Home he represented his club in three international contests. Twice he played for "Other Nationalities" against England. Another honottr was to be included in the All-England side against the. "Kangaroos" of 1929-30. The only colonials included were Hutt and Lou Brown (N.Z.) and O'Rourke (Australia), Len Mason (N.Z.) being a reserve forward. The Australian team was defeated. 18—5.
