COMO'S AUCKLAND DEBUT. Aucklanders who have sncn Cecil (Kid) Coino, the American light-weight, who lias been brought to Now Zealand by the Northern Boxing Association, have found it difficult to realise that' he is a professional fighter with a brilliant record against some of the greatest boxers of the day, for despite his many fights he is unmarked. He steps into the ring next Monday evening to meet Ted Oxley, of Pahiatua, who will be the first to uphold New Zealand traditions against the visitor. Oxley is a fine scientific boxer, with a hard punch and he greatly impressed local critics with his display here a few weeks ago, while he has since knocked out Johnny Leckie in brilliant fashion Oxley is keen to trade punches with Como, wjjo is equally anxious to show his wares to Auckland ringaiders.

TAKAPUNA GRAMMAR SCHOOL. The fourth annual championship tournament of the Takapuna Grammar School will be held at the Gaiety Theatre, Takapuna, on Thursday, October 20.
