(Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, October 12. Two New Zealanders, Flight-Lieu-tenant Harold Claude Marett and aeting-Pilot Officer Adrian Kinross White, the pilot and passenger respectively of a tutor aircraft at the Air Force Training School Grantham, Lines., were killed instantly.

The 'plane suddenly got into a spin and nose-dived. White jumped when too near to the earth and the parachute failed to open.

Marett crashed with the machine, which killed a sheep as it landed.

NAPIER, this day. Both the pilots killed at Grantham belonged to Napier. Adrian Kinross White wae a eon of Mr. and Mrs. K. Kinross White, of Omaranui, and was 21 years of age. He was educated at Wanganui Collegiate School, where he took a keen interest in sport, especially boxing and rowing. He took up aviation as a pupil of the Hawke's Bay and East Coaet Aero Club. He was very enthusiastic and was' regarded as .a good pilot. He got an endorsed A ticket and left for England last May to join the Royal Air Force. Harold Marett, who was 28, was a eon of Mr. A. C. Marett, of Napier. He had been in the Royal Air Force for several years, and spent five years in Iraq.
