WAR-RANT FOR ARREST.
ACCUSED MAN'S ABSENCE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.! ROTORUA, this day. When George Chase, of Taupo, was called upon in the Police Court this morning to answer a charge of a breach of the Bankruptcy Act, by failure to comply with the requests # of the assignee, he did not appear. The Crown Prosecutor proposed to prove the case in the defendant's absence, but Mr. Paterson, S.M., said that was impossible, as the charge was indictable and accused's consent was needed before the case could be heard in the lower Court. Therefore, he would immediately issue a warrant for Chase's arrest. ...
