SHEEPSKINS AND HIDES.
WELLINGTON SALE PRICES.
The usual fortnightly sale of sheep skins, hides and tallow was held on Fr. day by the combined Wellington brokers Competition was keen for sheepskins especially sound-pelted lots, and price were on'a par with last sale's rates. Ther was only a small offering of salted skinE and prices showed very little change oi previous quotations. There was a good demand for. hides a prices on .much the same basis as las sale; lightweights and cows were %< easier, but medium and heavyweight o: sold at last sale's values. There were n ox hides of extra stout substance offering consequently the outside prices realisei last sale were not in evidence. Kip am calf sold at par-with late rates. Tallov was in fairly good demand at prices little better than those recently obtain able.
