MILFORD DANCE.
A- dancc was given by the Milford Surf Club on Saturday evening in the Pirate Shippe Cabaret, in honour 'of the New Zealand representatives at the Olympic Games in Lps Angeles, Messrs. Savidan, Eliott, Foubister, and Purdie. All sports clubs on the North Shore were represented. The athletes were welcomed home by the Mayors of Takapuna and Devonport, Mr. J. Guiniven and Mr. F. W. Meikle, and congratulated on their performances in competition with the world's best athletes. Amongst those present were. Mrs. Meikle, who wore black lace, gold lame coatee; Mrs. J .C. Blomfield, black embossed velvet and hand-embroidered tafteta coat; Mrs. Savidan, pale blue silk faille; Mrs. Wilson, Lido blue satin; Mrs. Lay, green georgette and lace; Mrs. Croydon, henna crepe.de chine; Mrs. Hall) turquoise georgette; Mrs. Lloyd, leaf green lace; Mrs. Webster, flame and white satin; Mrs. Harrison, saffron satin; Mrs. Burgess, green satin and lace; Mrs. Waterhouse,. floral taffeta; Mrs. Grainger, floral georgette; Mrs. Stewart, black crepe marocain; Mrs. M. Williams, black satin; Mrs. Coleman, floral georgette; Mrs. Sheridan, green satin; Mrs. Mollard, peacock blue satin; Miss Betty Purdie, pink taffeta; Miss Edna Bray, white crepe de chine; Miss Mac Donald, black satin; Miss Nancy Osborne, white satin; Miss Greenwood, white bookmuslin; Miss M. Wilson, gold lace; Miss Macelle, blue taffeta; Miss S. Scales, white taffeta; Miss Bartley, cherry and white satin; Miss K. Williams, floral satin; Miss Lee, white lace; Miss. D.
