Eleven British mountaineering experts liave been invited to take part in the Mount Everest expedition which is to. leave England early next year under the leadership of Mr. Hugh Buttledge. St. J. Birnie, Mr. E. E. Shipton and Dr. Baymond Greene.
Among the others, all of whom although young have had great experience, ate' Messrs. Noel Odell, E. Shebbeare, C. A cheque for £100 has been Bent by the King toward the expenses of the expedition, with a letter expressing His Majesty's good wishes for its success.
