FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES. RATHER MORE BUSINESS. BANK OF NEW ZEALAND STEADY. On the Auckland Stock Exchange business has been rather better over the last 24 hours, and a fair list o£ sales has been put through. Bank of New Zealands seem to have steadied after the recent drop, and following fresh business at £2 6/ there were still buyers at that figure at this morning's call. Nationals of New Zealand were offered 1/ lower at £4. The late easing in South British Insurances was confirmed with a sale at £2 16/, a decline of 1/. Colonial Sugars steadied up again, and holders are asking £4S 10/. Government stocks are firm, and there were buyers tor the 4 1 /j's at £93, and for the s%'s at £99 10/. The Noon Call. Quotations more or less held their own at the noon call. One sale took place m the room, two others being reported. In one or two eases, however, buyers and holders seem agreeable to co-operate. Sellers of Bank of New Zealands are willing to quit at £2 G/3, a fall of 9d on this morning. Following a sale of Colonial Sugars at £48 5/, buyers will give £4S, a rise of 5/ on the 10 a.m. call. Waihis have buyers at 17/2, and sellers X 7/4—that is a concession of Id on either side. Government stock and bonds are steady, as are debenture issues.
