BESETTING CHARGES.
DISMISSED AT PALMERSTON. RELIEF WORKS INCIDENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. In a reserved judgment to-day Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., dismissed four charges of besetting relief workers which were brought against John Harvey Blair, restaurant keeper, and one similar charge against Albert Lewis, labourer, on the ground that the evidence was insufficient to disclose the foundation on which the Court could hold that the acts of defendants were intended to intimidate relief workers and make them abstain from doing any act which they were legally entitled to do.
