SALE OF TOBACCO.
AMENDMENT OF ACT SOUGHT. "DEPLORABLE STATE OF TRADE." (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The first of a seriee of petitions on the subject was presented to Parliament today on behalf of tobacconists, asking for the exclusion of tobacco, cigarettes and cigars from the operations of the Commercial Trusts Act, 1910. Petitioners state the law should be amended in view of the deplorable state of trade, and ,the grievous disabilities tobacconiste are suffering through the inclusion of the items in the Act's schedule, and in view of the fact that it is obvious from the wording of the legislation that the incorporation of tobacco, cigarettes and cigars is foreign to its purpose,
