FORBIDDEN TO MAORIS. IN WHANG AREI DISTRICT. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this/day. Home brewing is forbidden to the Maoris of .Vhangarei, according to ». '•Gazette" issued last night. Additional by-laws have oeen issued, making it an offence to brew beer or any intoxicating liquor within any defined village or it) any building occupied by a Maori, whether in a village or elsewhere, in the distric 1 .. A further by-law makes it aa offence to supply a Maori living in the district with any beer, manufactured otherwise than by a licensed brewer.
