KARASICK BEATS WILSON. There was a large attendance at the Whangarei Town Hall last evening, when the wrestling match between Al Karasick, 13.1, and George Wilson, 13.10, resulted in the first-named winning by two falls to one after an uninspiring exhibition. Karasick gained a fall in ithe third round following a series of headlocks. In the fifth round Wilson evened with a fall obtained with a flying tackle and a body, press. The end came in the sixth round, when Karasick gained the deciding fall with a headlock. Amateur preliminaries resulted as follows:—N. Wilson, 8.0., beat I. Boyd 8.6, by one fall; H. Findlay, 9.6, and G. Boyd, 9.8, drew with one fall each; S. Leadbeater, 9.10, beat S. Mcßeath, 9.8, on points; T. Hollows, 10.12, beat W. Cosgrove, 11.6, by one fall; B. Hollows, 10.2, beat L. Banton, 10.2, by two straight falls. Mr. G. Hutter was referee.
