TRACK GALLOPS.

WORK AT ELLERSLIE. JUVENILES DISPLAY SPEED. GOOD EFFORT BY HAMPTON PARK. Beautiful weather prevailed for training at Ellerslie this morning, and No. 2 grass, which was available for fast work, was in excellent order. The' sand, tan, and two-year-old tracks were also in use. No. 2 Grass. Malikill had Ruling King as a companion over six furlongs, and after running the first three in 38 3-ss, they completed their task in 1.18 1-5. The former was going the better of the pair at the finish. Imamint was .sent half a mile, running the distance in 50s. This mare appears to have quite recovered from the accident she met with prior to the Pakuranga meeting, and looks in nice order. Supreme Ruler and Clontarf Bill were given an easy half anile, taking 40 l-5s for the last three furlongs. Hampton Park was going particularly well alongside Psychologist at the end of seven furlongn in 1.31, the first half mile being covered in 50s. Both these horses are thriving well. Ornamental and Kiltowyn, after running three furlongs in 41s, completed six furlonge in 1.21 1-5. The latter impressed most. Royal Survey did strong work over a round, which he covered in 1.54, the final six furlongs taking 1.26 2-5. Over a similar distance Marching Song registered 1.54 4-5, the last six furlongs being run in 1.26 4-5. Zane Grey and Wee Pat were timed to run five furlongs in 1.7 1-5, the latter finishing in front.

The Pantheon —lodine filly jumped away at the six-furlong peg, and ran home in 1.20 1-5. She worked evenly throughput, running .her first three furlongs in 40 2-ss. The juveniles Charsong and Bright Flower reeled off three furlongs in 38 2-5, finishing on terras. Charsoug, who was having her second sprint since she first commenced training, shaped encouragingly. Lady Winifrede took 41s to run her first three furlongs, and finished up six'furlongs in 1.22 2-5. Cynthia M\ and Roman Mascot, after commencing slowly from the five-furlong .post, ran home in 1.11, the final three furlongs being completed in 41s. The two-year-old Barn Dance, and Gay Broney sprinted three furlongs in 38s. This was a pleasing performance, both hitting out well. Demylns was a shade better than Tar.porley - and Landlubber at the end of five furlongs, which occupied 1.6, the first two furlongs being run in 25 4-ss. Catoma was allotted strong pace work on the fan track, and Lord Aintree did. a similar task on the sand, both averaging about 15s to the furlong. Other horses to do useful tasks were:— Thunderstorm. Chief Emerald, Jewelled Girdle, Echo Song, Vilma. Royal Gallant, Operatic, Hawthorn, Queen Arausio, Tahae Mea, Llanore, Fatutahi, Norval Tea, Good Idea. Neil, Caliente. Waiata Poi, My Money, Deputy Ruler, Claremore, Haakon, Absent, Tetrarchate and Egyptian King.
