Tea Trader did his work well, and appeared to be going comfortably. Palace (Gray) and Thespis (McI'arhmc) covered five furlongs in 1.3 3-5 Huntingdon (Craig) accompanied them o }£ l- , the lasfc thrce - Royal Artist (Walters) worked over a mile and a quarter, being picked up at the mile post by Speedinint (Edwards), Lady Carrington (Grice) bringing them home over the last two furlongs. The full distance, was run in 2.22, the last mile in 1.53 1-5! and the o fc *T° IUI ' Io "S s in 245. Marmorate (facobie) was three/lengths in front of Eldora (L. Manson) at the finish of three furlongs in 38 2-ss. Bell Topper (Gray) was going slightly better than Tatyoon (Clifford) at the finish of half a mile in 51 2-ss. Lady Vane (McFarlane) and Fouhviiul (Melnally) worked nicely over half, a mile in 51 2-ss. Bischoff (Gray) and a Potoa gelding (Clifford) got to the end of a similar distance in 53 l-ss.
