The Hon. G. J. Smith and the Hon. J. Trevethick, M.L.C.'s, left for Wellington last evening. Constable D. Craigie, who hae. been transferred to Whangarei, has left to take lip his new duties. Mr. H. O. Nolan, president of the Auckland Racing Club, left for Wellington last evening. He expects to be back on Friday. Dr. M. H. Watt, Director-General of Health, who has been visiting Auckland, left for the North by the Whanyarei express this morning. Mr. M. H. Wynyard, motorists' representative on the Main Highways Board, left for Wellington by train last evening to attend a meeting of the board. j\fr. N". A. Wells has been appointed to fill the vacancy on the Coromandel Hospital Board, caused by the resignation of Mr. H. T. Johnson. Mr. H. M. Rusliworth, M.P. for the Bay of Islands, leaves for Wellington by the express this evening He will be accompanied by Mrs. and Miss Rushworth. Mr. H. E. Hart, Administrator of Western Samoa, is coming to the Dominion on a short holiday visit by the Maui Pomare, on the next trip of the vessel. He will be accompanied by Mrs. Hart and Miss Betty Hart. Mr. A. R. McElwam, manager of the Strand Theatre, Dunedixi, has been appointed Mew Zealand director of publicity for the Fuller-Hay ward Theatre Corporation circuit. He will be stationed at Wellington.
