BOXING.
DOUBLE PROGRAMME. The Northern Boxing Association has arranged for a double programme at the Town Hall on October 3, when two professional bouts will be staged—a bout between Petty Officer Arthur Firth, lightheavy champion of the British Navy, and Bill Sullivan, of Hastings, to be followed by the lightweight title bout between Archie Hughes and Harry Johns. Fivth'e fight will 'mark the first appearance in Auckland of a British Navy champion. The N.B.A. has secured the coloured American light-weight boxer Kid Como, now in Australia, for a bout in Auckland. He is due to arrive on Monday, and will probably meet the winner of the HughesJohns contest.
