LONDON'S NEW RESORT.
Allhallows-on-Sea, Kent, once a military base, complete with fort, guns, canteens, and 1500 soldiers, is competing with Westcliff,' on the opposite side of the river, for the title of London-by-the-Sea. War Office shooting rights rendered the resort "unhealthy" when practice guns were booming, but they have been relinquished, and a London business man has bought the lot. The original cost to the country was £50,000. Holiday-makers have also discovered Allhallows, and thousands enjoy themselves on the sands each week-end.
