SERIOUS CHARGES.
MIDDLE-AGED MAN COMMITTED
Frederick Morrison, aged 51, of Surfdale, Waiheke, appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court this morning on two charges of indecently assaulting males. Four youths gave evidence against accused and spoke of incidents which they said occurred while they stayed at Morrison's home at Surfdale. Detective 11. E. Knight said that after investigating a complaint, he went to Surfdale on September 7 with a warrant for the arrest of accused. He told Morrison of the allegations made by the four youths, and warned him that as he was to be arrested he need not make any statement. Morrison said "I cannot deny this. It is a physical weakness." Morrison, who was represented by counsel, pleaded not guilty to both charges, reserved his defence and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
