TWO DEAD-ONE DYING.
CONFESSION ALLEGED.
UNEMPLOYED MAN GIVES HIMSELF UP.
BODIES FOUND IN BED.
£Ry Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW .PLYMOUTH, this day. At 6.30 this, morning Hubert Ccdric Jepson, aged 39, an unemployed man, surrendered himself at the police station, and said that lie had murdered his wife and children. ' The police "went to Jepson's home in Frankley Road and there found his wife and an infant son both dead. These were:— '» Mrs. Lilian Violet Jepson, aged 37. John Robert Jepson, aged 18 months. The other son, Richard Cedric Jepson, *gcd 12, was suffering from a badly fractured skull. He was taken to hospital, but is not expected to live. • The bodies were fovind in bed. Both severe head injuries, and indications were that they were struck with 4, heavy weapon while asleep. Jepson, who is a native of Australia, eame to New Zealand in 1911, and was employed some years ago by the New Plymouth Borough Council. He was inought before Mr. R. W. Tate, P.M., this morning and charged with the murder of his wife. He was remanded till September 23.
