SLAUGHTERMEN OUT.
FOREMAN'S DISMISSAL SOUGHT SYDNEY, September 2. A strike of 200 slaughtermen occurred at the Homebueh abattoirs to-day. As a result the Roger Heat Company, Limited, is not able to slaughter 2000 lambs intended for shipment overseas next week. The employees sought the dismissal of the foreman, but the company refused their demand. Successive stop-work meetings followed, culminating in the strike. The company threatens to remove its business to Victoria owing to its constant difficulties with its employees.
