FIND NEW MARKETS.

HOPT. E. A. RANSOM'S ADVICE. NEED FOR GOOD SALESMANSHIP. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTOX N., Friday. Trade and production were touched upon by the Hon. E. A. Ransom, Minister of Lands, when speaking at the Palmereton North Chamber of Commerce annual dinner. Stating tliAt the future success of New Zealand would not be regarded entirelv alpng the lines of primary production, and that it would not be w'ise to neglect secondary industries, the Minister quoted figures showing the wonderful growth of primary and secondary industries, and he urged the finding of new markets. Trade with the Empire was a fine ideal, iut it must not be overlooked that Britain exported more manufactures to foreign countries than to the Dominions. "We have primary products which are required by foreign countries, and they have goods we require which are not procurable in Britain," said the Minister. "All that we need is good salesmanship and the establishing of credits."
