N.Z. LADIES' TOURNEY. OTAGO AND EASTERN IN FINAt. (By Association.) DUNBDIN, this day. Section play In the Dominion ladies' hockey tournament was concluded here yesterday. Otngo A defeated Marlborough by four goals to nil in the play-off for the A section. In tho B section Eastern A defeated Southland B by five goals to one. Canterbury beat West Coast A, 4—l, and Otago B beat West Coast B, 3—o. Otago A and Eastern A were to meet this afternoon in the final for the "K" Cup. Marlborough and Canterbury to play off for the Holden Cup. GAMES AT WHANGAREI. WHANGAREI, this day. The final of the ladies' hockey knock-out competition was played at Kensington Park on Thursday afternoon, between Hinemoa, winners of the championship, and Old Girls, the runners-Tip. Miss Tibbits shot the first goal for Old Girls and just before the interval iMiss P. Dunn equalised. The second half was brighter. In the last minute Miss Tibbits netted the deciding goal, after having received a perfect centre from Miss Simons on the wing. The game ended: Old Girls 2, Hinemoa 1. Men's Match.—Playing short-handed, United were overwhelmed by Ramblers, who won 7—2. Scorers for the winners were Munro (3), Houghton (2), Thomson and Maddren. For United Wilson and Elliott notched a goal apiece.
