LIFE-SAVING.

AUCKLAND CENTRE. At last night's annual meeting of the Auckland Centre of the Royal Life Saving Society, Mr. Len. Brighton, who was chairman, congratulated the centre on its activlt ties during the year and mentioned that its work had spread further afield, new clubs having been formed at Tauranga, Mount Maunganui and Te Puke. He paid a tribute to the work of the secretarytreasurer. Mr. F. Dangley, who, he stated, had carried out his dual duties in a highly creditable manner during a most difficult period. The resignation of the president, Mr. A. Dicker, was accepted with regret, and it was decided to thank him for the valuable services he had rendered to the society. Officers elected : Patron.
