Excitement in Fifteen Miles

Exhibition.

COMPETITOR UNCONSCIOUS

(Received 2 p.m.)

TORONTO, August 31

George Blagden (Memphietenn), a lawyer, won the 15-miles Canadian national exhibition swim. Gianni Gambi (Italy) was second, and Isadore Spondor (Port Colborne, Ontario) third.

George Young, last year's winner, was almost drowned when he bumped into a buoy while in fifth position at the half distance. He sank, but other swimmers dived and brought him up unconscious. He recovered after being taken to hospital.
