AL CAPONE IN PRISON.

CHICAGO, August 24,

Scarface Al Capone, is a model convict, and is employed making shoes. He is called "The Big Fellow," and treated with the respect apparently due to America , !:! greatest racketeer. He is captain of the prison baseball team, and eings in the choir. In his spare time he is writing a book on rackets, entitled "Advice to Evildoers —How I Achieved Success."

He insists that he was never a common criminal, and describes himself as "a former Red Cross worker who brought beer to thirsty people." He expects to be released from his 10 years , sentence within three years, and is already planning a return to civil life. "I am finished with rackets," he said, "and I want to do my share to build up America." Mrs. Capone and son Tony visit Al frequently.

Mayor Cermak is methodically cleaning up the Chicago Police Department, and" allows none but "bootleggers, of the highest reputation" to operate.
