A FURTHER PROTEST.
The Te Papapa school committee has passed the following resolution and forwarded it to the Primary Schools' Association: — "The committee enters a strong protest against the action of the Minister of Education in extending the contract for the supply of school text books, this action being quite contrary to the plainly expressed opinion of the whole of the school committees and educational authorities of New Zealand. We feci that the action was quite unjustified and unwise, and against the interests of the yirents, the school committee and the children. We further consider that the time has arrived when the portfolio «jf Education should not be held by a member of the Upper House, but by an I elected representative of the people. <■
