THIRD TEST WON.

ENGLAND'S UNBEATEN RECORD. TWO POINT LEAD IN FINAL BID. MEMORABLE STAND BY NEW ZEALAND. In a match that had the merit of being hard fought all the way, and exciting to a degree in the final phase, England preserved their unbeaten record for the New Zealand tour at Carlaw Park on Saturday, getting in the last minute of play the necessary try to place them vantage in. With one minute to go, New Zealand led by 18 points to 17, while a big crowd of spectators cheered in sustained fashion and harboured the hope and belief that New Zealand would win.
