Mrs. Blanco White's novel in which she drew on her experiences in a Government office during the war was one of the most brilliant of its kind. » »■ » • Miss Julia Flynn heads the Australian delegation to the sixth conference of the International Federation of University Women being held in Edinburgh, the other members being Miss Nancy Osborne, Miss P. Mayo and Miss M. Harris. Thirty-two nations are represented.. New Zealand, delegates are Dr. Bryson, who has inspected the latest treatments in women's clinics; Miss D. L. Tanner, of the history, education and archaeology sections; Dr. Northcroft and Miss Yates.
