Shots Exchanged At Labour Gathering. I.R.A. MEN ARRESTED. (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, August 16. George Gilmore, a member of the Irish Republican Army, whom Mr. de Valera recently released from Dublin gaol, was shot at Kilrush on Monday in company with J. Ryan, who was also shot. Gilmore and Ryan were to-day arrested in hospital on a charge of conspiracy and murder of the police during Lfihour demonstrations at Kilrueh. Gilmore and Ryan were leaders of a moli which tired on the police, who replied with a volley. As a result Gilmoro and Ryan were shot in the legs. The rest of the crowd ran away leaving the leaders to be arrested.

DEPRECIATION.

FARMING IN IRELAND. LONDON, August 13. Nobody in the Irish Free State is now fattening livestock, , and the price of farms has depreciated 40 per cent.
