METHODISM UNITED.
Three Sections to Combine Next Month. ALBERT HALL CEREMONY. LONDON, August 10. The Wesleyan, Primitive and United Methodists will become a corporate body in the Albeit Hall on September 20, when, in the presence of the Duke and Duchess of York, and probably the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Bishop of London, the three branches of the Church will be formally united. The presidents of the three existing bodies will mount the platform with the Rev. John Scott Lidgett, the newlyelected president of the entire Methodist Church, and all four will sign the bond of union. This ceremony will mark the end of 19 years' work. The union applies only to Britain, but will have an important influence on Methodism in other countries.
