RUGBY FOOTBALL.

MORRINSVILLE UNION. At a meeting of the management committee of the Morrinsville Rugby Union on Monday it was decided to invite the Paeroa T'nion to send a senior team to Morrinsville next Saturday to play a friendly inntch. The Paeroa T'nioii has accepted the invitation. This will he the first time a- Paeroa team has visited Morrinsville for some years. The match has been arranged to give the Morrinsville representative team a practice in view of the Peace Cup and Fiiilav Cup matches on all the remaining Saturdays of the season. As a curtain-miser the United and Kereone junior club teams •will play off for the junior championship. These teams are equal in the competition and are well ahead of tbc other teams. Last season Kereone won the junior championship and T'nited won the previous year. The third crade championship was awarded to United, as the team was In the lead and the other clubs have notified that they cannot field teams in future owing to the lateness of the sensor. The Cambridge t'liion notified that it intended to default In its match with Morrinsville for the Clarke Cup juiilor ?omrietition. which was set down for next Saturday, owins to the fact, that it was impossible to get a team away. Mo<l of the Cambridge Union juniors are workins on dairy farms and cannot snare time off now thpi dairying work is in full Bwln«.
