ARRESTED ON STEAMER.

PASSENGER FROM SYDNEY. ALLEGED THEFT OF MOTOR CAR. Francis Edward Pinker (19), shop assistant, who was arrested on arrival of the Zealandia from Sydney yesterday, appeared in the Police Court before Mr. W. R. Mckcan, S.M., to-day, charged with the theft of a motor car valued at £500, belonging to Elizabeth McGovern, on August 7. In obtaining a remand until to-morrow Detective Sergeant Kelly said that two other men who had been arrested on a similar charge would also appear.
