ROCKY NOOK CLUB

There was a large attendance of members and friends and centre representatives at the annual combined prizegiving of the Rocky Nook Bowling and Croquet Clubs. The respective presidents, Mr. W. .T. Pearce and Mrs. R. E. N. Matthews, presided.

The president of the Auckland Bowling Centre, Mr. Raymond Sheatli, presented the bowling prlzeH aa follows :— Championship singles. W. H. Keatley; Tongue Cup, L. Randall; handicap singles, J. Stormont; first-year championship, .T. Matchett; club pairs, ,T. Stoddart and W. A. Loram; club fours, J. Young, W. Haite, H. Turner, A. Farley. Mrs. R. Hamilton, president of the Auckland Croquet Centre, presented the croquet club's prizes as follows :— Championship (Bouskill Cup). Miss Mclnnis; B championship (Tongue Cup), Mrs. F. Preston ; championship doubles, Mesdames Harris and McEneney: handicap singles (Inecto Crip), Mrs. Haite; handicap doubles, Mesdames Rowden and 15. H. Turner; aggregate progressive, A. Mrs. Sinclair; aggregate proereßsive B, Mrs. Haite; Laurel Cup, Mrs. Haite. Items were given during the evening by Mr .and Mrs. Alexander, Mr. and Mrs. Grace, Misses Robinson, Bailey. Targuse. Messrs. C. Pearce, W. Rutledge, W. Leather and Master D. Fogarty. „ Mr. R. Eagleton in his inimitable wry told of his experiences in London when securing as a present for the club the handsome medallion worn by the president, nnd the much admired Laurel Cup (Englcton) for the croquet club.

MOUNT ALBERT CLUB. There was nn entry of 16 teams for a pairs tournes, controlled by the Mount Albert Bowling Club. A tie resulted In section A hetwpen T-ornm (Rocky Nook! and McCarthy (We«t End , ).,each securing 4 wins nnrl.l los=s. VcCnrfhy' won the play-off. In secfion B Dick (Ponsonhv) was successful with n wins. The final will be played on a date to bo arranged.
