COLD SHOWERS.

In answer to "J.G.8." on cold shower baths, my father always tried to instil that into I everyone—have a wash with cold water first thing in the morning. But one morning.as soon as the cold water touched his face it caused him to have a stroke. That, exploded the theory, and he never recommended that any more. I also kuow of another ease where exactly the same thing happened. Perhaps it is harmless if one is physically fit, but hdw is one to know that, and* is it safe to risk it if one does not know? If it is harmful to oi)o it may be to others. My father was healthy and strong, and who is to tell lis if we can stand cold water or not? AJL
